Parrots, Politics, Life & Miscellania

Hello everyone. This is the blog of Eric Weiner, an otherwise unremarkable 27-year old who often has way too much time on his hands and yet nevertheless has several interests including parrots, world politics and international affairs, video-games, polynesian culture and exercise. I plan on writing on whatever I want, but a particular sticking point with me is too much news coverage on one area of the world (such as the Mideast) at the expense of issues that are largely ignored (such as the conflicts the Russian Yupik have at times with the Putin government). I also dislike news orgs that report on a particular war or other such strife without providing said subject any background. I don’t see myself as someone from either the left or the right of the political spectrum. When I form an opinion on a particular issue, it is usually based on what I feel is the most logical and rational stance.  Of course, this makes me sound very arrogant, which is not my intent. I prefer to think of myself as “temporarily ambitious.”
